Compact and weighing less than 2 lbs., the Marmot Hydrogen 30 Degree sleeping bag is a high-performance option for late Spring, early Fall or Summer backpacking. An array of features and 850+ fill down insulation make the Hydrogen 30 Degree ready for backcountry adventure.
The Hydrogen 30 Degree is insulated with certified 850+ fill goose down. Fill power measures the loft or "fluffiness" of down insulation and Marmot goes to great lengths to guarantee the 850+ certification with a battery of in-house and external verifications. Renowned for their efficiency in retaining heat and compressible properties, the feathers and fibers of down have an incredibly soft, comfortable feel and, despite advances in synthetic materials, continue to provide the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any insulation available. The one weakness of down insulation is that it loses much of its ability to maintain warmth when it gets wet.
Despite its lightweight construction, the Hydrogen 30 Degree makes no sacrifice with regards to performance and features. Eliminating cold spots and providing comfort, sewn through baffles ensure that the Hydrogen 30 Degree's insulation is distributed evenly throughout the bag. Ground-level side seams create a barrier against cold air. A contoured, ergonomic hood mirrors the design of Marmot's popular outerwear jackets, helps reduce heat loss and keeps your head warm and comfortable. An insulated oversized draft tube sewn behind the full-length zipper keeps cold air from reaching the inside of the sleeping bag and zipper guards help to avoid irritating and damaging snags. Marmot's patented Trapezoid Foot Box is wider at the toes and narrower at the heels, providing a more natural fit and improving warmth and comfort.
The Marmot Hydrogen 30 Degree is available in Regular (fits up to 6'0") and Long (fits up to 6' 6") lengths. A stuff sack and storage sack are included.
